The last engagement ring done in the year 2021! Called the basalt ring as it was inspired by the basalt pillars of Iceland. Made of 14k yellow gold, brilliant cut emerald and lab diamonds.

Going back to basics! I draw all the time for my customers and at some point I wanted to get what our drawing teacher explained to us back in school. I've discovered this book (jewelry illustration by Dominique Audette) and it has everything she said, and more!
I'm good at the orthogonal views, not so much at perspective and rendering with pencils. With this book and practice I'll be able to sketch a better 3D in front of the customers when needed 💍

One of the last assignments of this year! An engagement ring made out of old silver from the customer for the shank, 14k white gold for the setting and halo, a beautiful yellow corundum from @birgem1990, and a few diamonds! 💎

Learning to set stones 💎 After viewing lots of videos and reading books, I wanted to experiment and see how this type of 'pavé' works.
Now after this first try, next one I will leave more material in between the stones:
-> more space in between the stones
-> or not carving out as much as I did (maybe also ordering tinyer tools)
So, I'll do these two solutions and see what works!

Just finished a beautiful ring for my aunt back in

Just finished a beautiful ring for my aunt back in France.
The stone was previously in a different ring that was partly broken, so I've melted it made something new out of it ⚒️
The ring is 4 silver wires soldered together and wrapped around the stone creating a simple yet awesome setting💍
